Twitch star Rachell โValkyraeโ Hofsetter has made it clear she wonโt rest until the man responsible for harassing her, Emiru, and Cinna is identified. The disturbing incident took place during their March 2 IRL stream at the Santa Monica Pier, part of the week-long Sis-A-Thon event hosted by Valkyrae and Cinna.
Valkyrae Harassed by Stalker During Live Stream
During the stream, an unknown man repeatedly asked the trio for their numbers despite their repeated refusals. His behavior escalated when he theatrically dropped to one knee and began singing, refusing to leave them alone. When the women tried to walk away, he followed them persistently.
The situation took a dangerous turn when he attempted to lunge at them, but security and the streaming crew intervened just in time. The incident, captured live on stream, quickly spread across social media, sparking concerns among fans.
Following the attack, Valkyrae and Cinna reassured their audience that they were safe but decided to end Sis-A-Thon earlier than planned.
However, Valkyrae refuses to let the matter slide. During her March 3 stream, she expressed her determination to track down the suspect and urged anyone with information to come forward.
Cinna also confirmed that they have strong evidence that the man was aware of who they were before the encounter. She added that since the incident was streamed live, they have clear images of his face to help in identifying him.
The streamers later revealed that after the altercation, they sought refuge in a store to escape their harasser. Even after waiting in hiding for 15 minutes, they remained fearful as they had no idea where he had gone. Police arrived at the scene later that day, but the suspect has already fled.
IRL streaming has surged in popularity, drawing massive audiences. However, it also comes with serious risks, particularly for female streamers. Harassment, stalking, and dangerous encounters have been rising concerns in the industry.
