The leading mobile-gaming company, Samsung, is about to launch a portable gaming device. A recent patent showcased in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database revealed that the company is planning to patent a vertical folding gaming device.
If true, this device can help many gamers make their gaming experience smooth.
What Does the Patent Show?
As first reported by 91mobiles, the patent describes an “ornamental design for a remote controller,” complete with sketches. Its vertical folding screen has gained so much attention, which could make the device more compact and pocket-friendly when folded.
However, how this design will work for gamers remains a mystery. The sketches reveal another interesting design, where the side grips are divided into two halves. It is unclear whether these grips detach like Nintendo’s Joycons or Lenovo’s Legion Go.
The controller layout has elements like D-pads, face buttons, and air triggers. A USB-C port is also visible, which is likely functioning as a charging port or headphone jack.
Speaker grilles appear to be located above and below the screen for a good audio experience.
