Marvel Rivals has announced the launch of new team-up abilities ahead of its Season 2 update launch on April 11. The update reveals fresh tactical powers, which pairs iconic Marvel characters for unique cooperative skills.
Another big revelation is the “Arcane Order” synergy between Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. Strange gains a 100-point health boost, while Wanda equips with a “Mystic Burst” attack. It also signals a shift toward more ability-based team mechanics.
Similar to Wanda’s power, there is another compelling power to Captain America and The Winter Soldier, called “Stars Aligned”. It absorbs 5% damage alongside a health increase. Bucky will also get access of a new move, Stellar Impact.
Another big update is Mental Projection, which is a three-way partnership involving new arrival Emma Frost, Magneto, and Psylocke. Frost gains a health boost, while Magneto and Psylocke receive new powers (namely Magnetic Resurgence and Soul Resurgence, respectively). It allows players even more tactical permutations.
Season 2 also rebalances existing combos. Notably, Rocket Raccoon and Winter Soldier’s Ammo Overload loses the latter’s Infinite Grit, while Namor’s Frozen Spawn is removed in pairings with Luna Snow.
Marvel Rivals has slowly scale up the hero shooter charts with a robust roster and free-to-play accessibility.
