The most-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) could launch on PC as early as 2026, according to a statement from Corsair Gamingโs financial VP, Ronald Van Veen.
While Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have yet to confirm a release window for the PC version, van Veenโs remarks sparked discussion among video game lovers.ย
During Corsairโs latest earnings call, van Veen stated, โYeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we’ll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it’s going to come out in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC.” While not official confirmation, his statement suggests that industry insiders may have a clearer idea of Rockstarโs roadmap.
Historically, PC versions of GTA titles have seen great delays, GTA 3 took seven months to arrive on PC after its console debut, while San Andreas and GTA 4 both took eight months. GTA 5 had the longest wait, launching on PC almost two years after its initial release. If van Veenโs estimation holds true, GTA 6 could mark a shift in Rockstar’s release strategy.
Meanwhile, speculation continues over GTA 6โs pricing. With a huge budget, some analysts believe the game could break the $70 price tag standard for AAA titles possibly reaching $100. However, Take-twoโs CEO, Strauss Zelnick pointed his fingers toward the growing importance of the PC platform, suggesting that Rockstar will not neglect this audience.ย
“We have seen PC become a much more โฆ important part of what used to be a console business, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that trend continue,” he said.
