In a recent datamine, new details about โBattlefield Labsโ have surfaced, which says players will have an in-depth look at a potential revamp of class dynamics within the franchise.
According to a report by MP1ST, the leak from Telegram Group reveals that a tiered system will have a Class Specialization across 5 combat roles.
- Fire Support
- Engineer Anti-Vehicle
- Mechanic
- Recon
- Pathfinder
Each class reportedly comes with 4 progressive levels of specialization, which mimic the Field Upgrade mechanics from Battlefield 4. However, these are a little bit modernized with more tactical advantage.
For instance, Fire Support specialists will be upgraded from improved mobility with LMGs to deploying a crate for instant team resupplies. The Engineer class will transform from deploying a thermite drone to wreak havoc on enemy armor.
Mechanics will gain tools for faster repairs and cooling, which will help players in instant vehicle restoration. Recon for snipers will gradually shift from stealth and accuracy bonuses to denying revives via lethal headshots.
An intelligence-based class, Pathfinder brings in stealth mechanics, which ends with a UAV call-in.
However, these features are not confirmed for final release, as EA has yet to officially comment. This leak provides a compelling glimpse into the gameโs shift toward layered, role-based gameplay.
