Nintendo has officially lifted the curtain on the most-awaited Switch 2, which is a next-generation console along with NVIDIA technology. Officially announced on April 2, the Switch 2 comes with AI-based upscaling, real-time ray tracing, and a 10x graphics boost over its previous version.
Furthermore, NVIDIA GPU uses dedicated RT Cores for lighting, reflections, and shadows, alongside Tensor Cores for AI-based upgrades. With Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), the console can upscale visuals to near-4K quality without sacrificing performance. It delivers a sharper, more immersive gaming experience.
“The integration of NVIDIA’s AI-based graphics technology represents a watershed moment for console gaming,” said industry analyst Mark Peterson. “We’re witnessing the fusion of machine learning and real-time rendering, bringing console visuals closer to high-end PC gaming.”
The Switch 2 offers up to 4K resolution in TV mode and an impressive 120 frames per second at 1080p in handheld mode, which promises fluid gameplay with NVIDIA G-SYNC support for reduced screen tearing.
This hybrid design retains the flexibility that made its predecessor a global phenomenon, which allows easy transitions between handheld and docked gaming.
