In the latest announcement, GSC Game World has announced a major roadmap for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It includes a number of impactful updates and free content drops slated for the year.
STALKER 2 Sets Course for Major Upgrades
While the game has attracted attention for its atmospheric world and tight combat mechanics. However, some elements like the A-Life system have faced criticism for not meeting the high expectations set by its previous updates.
The system is expected to go through major improvements before the summer, which addresses feedback from the STALKER community.
The Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, the setting for the immersive FPS, remains a rich and dangerous landscape filled with mutated creatures, anomalous physics, and dark intrigue.
Despite its aesthetic world-building and open-ended gameplay, STALKER 2 struggled with a few flaws, notably in its NPC interactions and simulation depth.
“Throughout the year, we will be delivering updates and hotfixes dedicated to making the game better in every aspect. With proper planning, double testing (internal and closed beta for big updates) of all features and fixes, and your feedback, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will become the game we imagined โ and you deserve,โ GSC Game World stated in the announcement.
“Since launch, weโve been digging into your feedback and aligning it with our own plans and vision for improving and enhancing the gameplay experience. Q1 was all about tackling the big issues โ two major updates and multiple hotfixes rolled out, building on last yearโs patches. The Zone is evolving and will continue to, ” the developer mentioned.
